Family compost yard · Est. 2025 · Delivering across the Bay Area

By the bag,
or by the ton.

We windrow, cure, and screen everything on site. Come by the yard for a single bag for the raised beds, or have a truckload dropped for the vine rows. Same dirt either way.

Three products

What we sell

Every pile is turned and temperature-logged through the active phase, then cured before it leaves the yard. Bagged for beds and containers, bulk for anything bigger.

Worm Castings

Our namesake, and the reason the farm exists. Pure vermicast from our own beds — the most concentrated thing we make. Beds are being built out now.

Farms & vineyards

Bulk pricing, Bay Area delivery, and standing orders. Call the yard and we will work out a schedule around your spread window. We drop the load where you want it and your crew takes it from there.

01

Vine rows

Banded down the row rather than broadcast. Most blocks run a light annual application to hold moisture and feed soil biology without pushing excess vigour in the canopy.

3–5 tons / acre
02

Orchards

Applied in the tree row and left on the surface. Works alongside your existing mulch program rather than replacing it.

5–10 tons / acre
03

Row crops & market gardens

Broadcast and incorporated ahead of planting. Raw unscreened is usually the economical choice at this volume.

10–20 tons / acre
04

Pasture & hay ground

Surface applied, no incorporation needed. Best put down ahead of a rain so it works in on its own.

5–8 tons / acre

Rates above are starting points, not a recommendation for your ground. Send us a recent soil test and we will talk through what actually makes sense for the block.

Delivered

We deliver across the Bay Area. Delivery starts at a $75 minimum fee and goes up with distance and load size, so get in touch for a quote. We drop the load and that is where it stays — we do not spread it or move it once it is down, so pick your spot before the truck arrives. Bay Area · from $75

We named the place after the worms because they do most of the work. We just turn the piles and keep the water right.
